Reflecting the Characteristics of the MIS in Building Cognitive Organizations

A Case Study in the Faculties of the University of Mosul

Abstract

Today's organizations face the need for constant change to cope with the challenges that surround these organizations. We note that most management experts suggest an management  information system so that they can survive in a rapidly changing world and must transform their organizations into knowledge organizations that represent the fundamental knowledge force and distinguished in this century as the most important resource in the focusing of information and the era of informatics is the tool for the creation of value added and its importance in being the only abundant resource that is built by the accumulation of our mandate cut use but on the contrary can be used to generate, And development new ideas cheaper cost or no additional cost. From here, the problem of the study was pointed out by raising a number of the following research questions:

 1-Does the organization in question have the potential and capacity to provide supportive means of knowledge?

2-Does the organization in question possess an accounting information system capable of producing knowledge?

In order to answer the above research questions, a number of statistical methods were used for data collected by the questionnaire. The research was conducted at the University of Mosul. A sample of the personnel in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Science was selected.

The research seeks to achieve an importance of conclusions:

. 1-The research faculties represented one of the knowledge organizations that exercise administrative functions with a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness, as well as the availability of assets of value to the success of the operations of the Organization.

 2-Since the faculties studied are knowledge organizations, they reveal their potentials in interacting with the facts of reality and thus the ability to resist the negative effects when using the system of administrative parameters

The research concluded collection of recommendations that contribute at achievement benefit the organizations investigated.
